Project scope

My role with Samsung involved undertaking the creation and rollout of finished art assets for their highly confidential product launch for Australia. The project spanned diverse mediums, including large to medium-scale billboards, digital billboards, retailer packaging, advertising assets for key Australian retailers (JB Hi-5, Optus, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, Telstra, Vodafone), and internal communications.

The primary focus was on delivering captivating assets for the launch of an impressive product lineup:

  • Galaxy S22 Series

  • Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4

  • Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro

  • Galaxy A73 Series

  • Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

  • Galaxy Tab S8 Series.

The project unfolded under embargo, heightening the anticipation leading up to the official product announcement.

Rollout specifics

I coordinated from stakeholder liaison to asset rollout. Collaborating with their legal team, project managers, art directors, and retailers, I ensured accurate inclusion of disclaimers, meeting each retailer's unique asset requirements. The rollout involved the precision management of print assets for medium to large-scale billboards, with a keen focus on accurate labelling and correct sizing for both digital and print assets.

File preparation involved refining design concepts and raw files to meet rigorous production standards. Adherence to print specifications, including colour profiles, bleeds, crop marks, and safe zones, guaranteed accurate printing results. Quality control was paramount, involving meticulous review for errors, inconsistencies, and issues that could impact the final output. The finalisation phase encompassed adjustments and optimisation of design elements, from resizing images to adjusting typography and making necessary colour corrections.

Despite working independently, the seamless collaboration and meticulous attention to detail resulted in the successful delivery of captivating assets, contributing to the success of Galaxy's highly anticipated product launch. The systematic file archiving system ensures the lasting accessibility of design assets for future endeavors.
